Frequently Asked Questions

Is OnePath free?

Yes. OnePath is completely free with no ads and no in-app purchases.

Where does the data come from?

All immigration data is sourced from official government websites: USCIS.gov, Travel.State.gov, the Department of Labor, and the Federal Register. Data is verified and updated regularly.

How often is the data updated?

We update the Visa Bulletin monthly, processing times quarterly, and policy changes as they happen. The app shows the last update date in the footer of the home screen.

Is my data safe?

Yes. All your personal information stays on your device. We don't collect your name, email, visa status, or any personally identifiable information. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Can I check my USCIS case status in the app?

Yes. OnePath allows you to look up your USCIS case status by entering your receipt number (e.g. EAC2390123456). Your receipt number is sent securely to the official USCIS API on your behalf and the result is returned directly to your device. We do not store your receipt number or case results.

Your receipt number format: 3 letters followed by 10 digits — for example, EAC2390123456, LIN2390123456, or WAC2390123456.

My case status lookup isn't working. What should I do?

Make sure your receipt number is entered correctly — 3 letters followed by 10 digits, no spaces or dashes. If the issue persists, USCIS servers may be temporarily unavailable. You can also check your case status directly at egov.uscis.gov. If the problem continues, please email us at onepathworld@gmail.com.

Can I change my answers after onboarding?

Yes. Tap the gear icon on the home screen to open Settings. You can change any of your profile answers individually.

I have a green card. Can OnePath help me with naturalization?

Yes. OnePath has a dedicated naturalization pathway for green card holders. During onboarding select "Green Card Holder" as your status and the app will guide you through the 5-Year Standard, 3-Year Marriage Rule, and Military Service naturalization routes including an N-400 document checklist and step-by-step timeline.

Can I use OnePath offline?

Most features work offline. All immigration data, pathways, checklists, timelines, and fee information are bundled with the app. An internet connection is required for USCIS case status lookups and external links to government websites.

Is OnePath a substitute for an immigration lawyer?

No. OnePath provides immigration information for educational purposes only. Every immigration case is unique. We strongly recommend consulting a licensed immigration attorney for advice specific to your situation.

How do I reset the app?

Go to Settings (gear icon on home screen), scroll to the bottom, and tap "Reset App and Start Over." This clears all data and lets you redo the onboarding.

I found incorrect information. How do I report it?

Please email us at onepathworld@gmail.com with the specific information that appears incorrect. We take data accuracy very seriously and will investigate and correct any errors promptly.
